Dr. Louis Creed and his wife, Rachel, relocate from Boston to rural Maine with their two young children. The couple soon discover a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near their new home.
LOL who taught you English Riquez? “The only issue with her wording is that its a double negative it still means exactly the same thing. If you want to start correcting people on how they are saying things I suggest you at least learn the language yourself.
Ok so we went and saw Pet Semetary in theaters. My wife wanted to get up and walk out. I on the other hand have a little more of an open mind I guess. Lol. Here’s the deal. If you haven’t read the book or watched the original it can be a good movie for a new generation to watch. It does not follow the story of the book which is why we were both turned off I guess. I understand that in Hollywood they want to make things fresh and try and change things up a tad but this was way too much. John Lithgow as Jud was perfect. The acting was good. The story was just too different from the book for us to enjoy though unfortunately. If you watch it act like you have never read the book or seen the original film and it will be a decent movie. That’s about all I can suggest.
I didn’t dislike it (I agree about Ellie, she was fab). John Lithgow was ace, in fact all the acting was superb. But the screenplay butchered the story, even more than the original did. At least the original was just guilty of omission, whereas this version changed a whole lot. I understand “Ellie” from the point that she could be more interesting for the watcher, but there was much much more…or “less” as the case may be.
The book is one of my favourite King books (Top 5 for sure. Insomnia is my all time fave and i’m really surprised it’s never been screened) and i’m always critical of screen adaptations of his story’s.
Don’t get me wrong, the movie itself was pretty good. I just spent alot of it with expectations that were never met and another portion wondering why changes were made.
Good movie. But it you haven’t read the novel yet watch the movie first and then read the book after, don’t read the book first (This advice actually holds true for any Stephen King story/screen adaptation combo) that way you will probably be able to enjoy both more
Not even close to being as good as the original, but it’s worth the watch! I’m just not big on remakes. I did like the actress that played Ellie, she did a fantastic job! Church was beautiful & I loved that little evil lazy eye😻
This was my least favorite of the Stephen King movies and I can say without a doubt it still is! I use to read all of the books until he began spitting them out at about 1 a week and most were made into some wonderful movies, this is just one that has not worked as one for me in 89 or 2019. As for the Cam it is watchable after everyone takes their seats.

John Lithgow put in a decent performance. Everyone else mailed it in. Lousy script, choppy editing, too many dream sequences. 5/10

Well it wasn’t nothing like the original but I didn’t dislike it……7/10 for me.

I will assume you mean “it was nothing like”
“wasn’t nothing like” means “it was exactly like the original”
